On December 11, 2022, on the big stage of the Union of Theater Workers of Azerbaijan, the opening of the theater festival "National Classics" dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the Union of Theater Workers of Azerbaijan took place.
An event was held on the occasion of the National Press Day on July 22, 2022, organized by the Union of Theater Workers of Azerbaijan.
The Union leadership, employees of the Central Office and media representatives took part in the event.
In 2022, on the 190th anniversary of Khurshidbanu Natavan, a prominent representative of Azerbaijani artistic thought, an event was held. The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, signed the Order dated March 14, 2022, regarding the celebration of the poet's jubilee.
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Union of Theater Workers of Azerbaijan, famous artists, representatives of the intelligentsia and the media.
The event dedicated to the 880th anniversary of the great Azerbaijani poet and thinker Nizami Ganjavi was organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Union of Theater Workers of Azerbaijan, the Sabail regional organization of the “Yeni Azerbaijan” party and the National Conservatory.
By the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, September 27, the beginning of the 44-day Patriotic War, is celebrated in the Republic of Azerbaijan as the Day of Remembrance. On this historic day, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, ordered a counterattack along the frontline in order to prevent the attack of Armenia, which has been pursuing a policy of aggression against Azerbaijan for many years, and restore our territorial integrity.
On September 6, 2021, organized by the Union of Theater Workers of Azerbaijan and the Academic National Drama Theater, well-known artists and media workers visited the graves of artists on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of People's Artist Yashar Nuri and the birthday of Sayavush Aslan.
The ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Union, People's Artist, Professor Azer Pasha Neymatov, Deputy Chairman, People's Artist, State Prize Laureate Haji Ismayilov, media representatives and employees of the Union.
On the occasion of May 28 - Republic Day, several cultural workers were awarded certificates of honor of the Union of Theater Workers of Azerbaijan.

On March 31, 2021, Honored Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jamila Karimova was awarded the «Sənətkar» medal of the Union of Theater Workers of Azerbaijan.
On March 10, 2021, an event dedicated to the 148th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Professional National Theater was held at the Union of Theater Workers of Azerbaijan. The event was attended by the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan Anar Karimov, the head of the art department of the Ministry of Culture Farah Adzhalova, famous artists, representatives of the intelligentsia and the media.
On March 9, 2021, People's Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan Arif Guliyev was awarded by the Union with the newly established “Gizilgul” prize. The presentation was attended by employees of the Union.
Honored Artist Adil Agakarim oglu Zeynalov was awarded with the Honorary Order of the Union of Theater Workers of Azerbaijan for his contribution to the development of the national theater and his 60th birthday.
Rafiq Aliyev was born on November 14, 1949 in the village of Merdinli of the Fizuli region. In 1957, he entered the first grade of secondary school No.58 in Baku, and after graduating from it in 1968 he studied on the culture and enlightenment faculty with a degree in directing at the Institute of Culture in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg).
On December 14, with the financial support of the Youth Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Public Association "Modern Youth Network" held an event entitled "Preserve our national and moral values!" in the Union of Theater Workers of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani University of Tourism and Management.
On October 29, 2019, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Union of Theater Workers of Azerbaijan, the State Academic National Drama Theater and the State Theater Museum held a celebrational event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the assignment of the “Academic” status to the National Drama Theater.
On November 7, 2019, organized by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Union of Theater Workers of Azerbaijan, an event dedicated to the 650th anniversary of the famous Azerbaijani poet Imameddin Nasimi was held. The event was attended by theatrical figures, eminent creative personalities, students and media representatives.
The Deputy Director of the Azerbaijan State Academic Russian Drama Theater Ilham Mammadov was awarded with a diploma and badge of honor for his contribution to the development of national theater art on the occasion of the 50th birthday.
On 5 April, 2019, in the framework of the Memorandum on the Development of Cultural Relations, signed by Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan and the Georgian Theatre Society, the performance “Medea vs. Euripides” of the Meskhetian State Drama Theatre of Georgia was presented on the stage of the Academic National Drama Theatre. The artistic director of the theatre is Lia Suluashvili.
On 15 February, 2019, the Union of Theatre Workers organized the premiere of a performance prepared by the creative team of the Baku Children’s Theatre based on the work of Jalil Mammadguluzade. The director is Konul Shahbazova-Gasimova, the production designer is Sevda Mammadov, and the musical designer is Rauf Huseynli.
An interesting production and acting, colorful decorations and fun musical arrangement were greeted with applause from children and teenagers.
On 28 January, 2019, the Ministry of Culture of the Azerbaijan Republic and the Union of Theatre Workers organized the presentation of the book “Pages of Life”, dedicated to the 100thanniversary of the outstanding director, actor, theatre expert, People’s Artist of the USSR Mehdi Mammadov.
On 20 November, 2017, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Azerbaijan Republic and Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan organized an event entitled as “Two friends”, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the outstanding theatre persons Zafar Nematov and Hasan Hagverdiyev.
On 15-16 November, 2017, with the support of the ROSSOTRUDNICHESTVO office (organization in the Russian Federation for relations with compatriots living abroad and international humanitarian cooperation) in Azerbaijan, the Union of Theatre Workers, there were presented the performances “Petersburg Apartments” (Fedor Koni) and “Farewell, compere!”(Grigoriy Gorin) of “Art”St. Petersburg State Musical Theatre.
The Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan and the country’s theatre association made a statement to the world community, in which they expressed their negative attitude to the shelling by the Armenian armed forces of the civilian population living in the village of Alkhanly of the Fizuli region of Azerbaijan.
On 25May, 2017, the monogram of Rovshan Agayev’s “The End of the Ending” premiered on the stage of Mustafa Mardanov of the Union of Theatre Workers. The premiere was attended by famous artists, intellectuals and media.
On 10 March, 2017, on the occasion of the National Theatre Day, an event was organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Azerbaijan Republic and the Union of Theatre Workers. The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Union of Theatre Workers, prominent artists, intellectuals and media. A photo exhibition and a video clip on the development of the Azerbaijan Theatre were demonstrated at the event.

On 19 December, 2016, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Azerbaijan Republic and the Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan held a presentation of the book “Pages of Life”, dedicated to the 100thanniversary of the outstanding actress Nasiba Zeynalova, and telling about the life and work of the actress. Famous artists, intellectuals and the media took part in the event of the Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan.
19 December, 2016 with the organization of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Azerbaijan Republic and the Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan on the stage of Mustafa Mardanov of the Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan, there took place a premiere of the play “Chairs”, staged after the work of Eugene Ionesco.
On 18 October, 2016, in the hall of the Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan, the performance of “Dream about Rain” of the Moscow Children's Musical Theatre was shown at the organization of the representative office of the International Agency for Humanitarian Cooperation “Rossotrudnichestvo”, the Department of Culture of Moscow and the Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan.
15 June, 2016 on the Mustafa Mardanov stage of the Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan with the financial support of the Youth Foundation under the President of the Azerbaijan Republic, the organization of the Public Association “Youth Friendship Network”, with the support of the Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan and the Humanitarian Gymnasium named after Seyid Jafar Pishavari was played the first performance in the framework of the project “National Value”.
On 30 April, 2015, the Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan presented the book “Pages of Life” dedicated to the 100thanniversary of the first ballet actress of Azerbaijan, one of the founders of the national ballet school, People’s Artist of the USSR, State Prize Laureate, Gemer Hajiaga gyzy Almaszade.
