Scientific-practical conference “Azerbaijan Theatre in the context of Theatre research (1920-2016)”.
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Azerbaijan Republic and the Azerbaijan Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan organized a scientific-practical conference called “Azerbaijan Theatre in the Context of Theatre Studies (1920-2016)” devoted to the National Theatre Day on 10 March, 2016.
The conference was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan, Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan, prominent figures of culture and arts, intellectuals. Chairman of the Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan, People’s Artist, professor Azer Pasha Nematov congratulated the participants of the conference on the National Theatre Day and made a presentation on the “Historical role of the Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan in the national theatre process”. Honoured Arts Worker, Doctor of Arts, professor Adalyat Veliyev gave a brief overview of the development of Azerbaijan Theatre and made a speech on “Azerbaijan Theatre as a moral, ethical, aesthetic and culturological reaction to the historical process”.
At the conference, the Honoured Arts Worker, Doctor of Arts, professor Maryam Alizade with the report “The Impact of International Conferences and Festivals on the Theatre Process” delivered a speech; on art criticism, professor Aydin Talibzade with the report “Theatre of World and Azerbaijan: the point where problems are tied”.
