APPEAL of the Chairman of the Union of Theater Workers of Azerbaijan, People's Artist, Professor Azer Pasha Neymatov and the theatrical community to the President of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev.
Dear President, Mr. Supreme Commander-in-Chief!
Under your leadership as a powerful head of state and Supreme Commander-in-Chief, the invincible Azerbaijani army fought valiantly against the occupant Armenian armed forces for several days and took up arms with great enthusiasm to free our ancient lands from enemy aggression. As you said in your appeal to the people, this provocation is another manifestation of Armenian fascism.
Under your leadership, the Azerbaijani army, as one of the strongest armies in the world, reacted to the provocations of the enemy, took revenge for our martyrs and civilians, and, thanks to this, their blood did not remain on the ground. Our invincible Azerbaijani soldiers, servicemen and officers, at the cost of their lives and blood, cleared seven villages and a number of strategic heights from enemies. The enemy's fascist army, violating all international laws and norms, strikes at civilians on the front lines and targets civillians. But the brave sons of the Motherland take revenge on the enemy. The number of destroyed enemy soldiers and military equipment is a vivid example of this.
Dear Supreme Commander-in-Chief!
Today, under the leadership of you and our first vice-president Mehriban Aliyeva, Azerbaijan declares its power to the world in all spheres. The victories of our army are the result of this wise and purposeful political will. The people of Azerbaijan, including culture and theatre workers, are closely rallied around You - a great commander, eldest son and brother, and they fight shoulder to shoulder with their Supreme Commander. War means the death of people and blood, a great testimony to the zealous sons of the Motherland. But we do not hesitate to sacrifice our lives, our blood for our Motherland, for our people. The people of Azerbaijan proudly honor their martyrs, entrust them to the land and bow before their souls.
All our people, all theatrical community are with you on this glorious path. Regardless of age, whether we are male or female, it is a great honor for us to take up arms and accept martyrdom on the way to the liberation of our lands. We will win. All Azerbaijani theaters, as well as the Shusha theater, will stage their performances in Karabakh. We are confident that Allah will allow us, under your leadership, to plant our tricolor flag in Shusha. The victory is ours, the victory belongs to the people of Azerbaijani.
Karabakh is Azerbaijan!
