Mukhtar Avsharov - 100.
Mukhtar Hasan oglu Avsharov was born on 15 February, 1914 in Iravan. In 1936 he graduated from the three-month cultural and educational course in Moscow.
Starting his career in the theatre, M. Avsharov began his creative career in the Ganja State Dramatic Theatre in 1938. For 30 years (excluding years of repression) of work in the Ganja Theatre, he created about 100 characters. He created such characters as Khlestakovin “The Inspector” by N. Gogol, Chingiz in “Love and Revenge” by S. S. Akhundov, Mirza Samandar in “Almaz”, Nasreddin Shah in “Nasreddin Shah” by J. Jabbarly, Ezop in “Lisa and grapes ”by G. Fileguredo, Dr. Dolbonozo in“ Skull ”by N. Hikmet.
The actor, who continued his work at the Academic National Drama Theatre since 1968, played the role of Kharabat in “Khayyam”, Uncle Karam in “I Can't Forget”, Abdul in “Faded Flowers”, Niyaz in “Peri Jadu”, Ruben in “Do Not Grieve,Mom”, King in“Macbeth ”, Sheikh Ali, Gadjar in“Vagif ”, Yanardag in“Bride of Fire”and Haji Bakhshali, Sheikh Nasrulla in“Dead People”.
The eminent actor was filmed in more than 20 films made by “Azerbaijanfilm” Studio. Among them are the “Invincible Battalion”, “The Wild Kura”, “Gachag Nebi”, “Last Pass”, “Gatyr Mamed”, “Window of Sorrow” and others.
After 23 years of work at the National Theatre, the actor has continued his creative activity at the Baku Municipal Theatre in parallel with the “Everlasting Stars”Theatre of the Azerbaijan Culture Foundation. In the Municipal Theatre, he played the role of a gasman in “Lonely Women”, Javad Khan in “Nadir Shah”, Baba in “Deli Domrul”, Seyid Aga in“Motherland Needs Heroes” and the Vizier in “Tomris”. The TV shows “Faded Flowers”, “The Tale of Sarikoynek and Valeh” and “Toothache”, in which the actor starred, are stored in the Golden Fund of National Television.
Mukhtar Avsharov was awarded the title “Honored Artist” in 1966, “People's Artist” in 2002, and also awarded the “Order of Glory” and the Presidential Scholarship in 2004.
Mukhtar Avsharov was an actor with a high level of culture. He played both comic and tragic, both major and episodic roles.
He was a proud, brave, patriotic, trustworthy, pure soul, simple, straightforward, loyal and courageous man.
