Memorial day dedicated to the 70thanniversary of the People’s Artist Aliabbas Gadirov.
On 17 February, 2016, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Azerbaijan Republic, the Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan and the National Academic Drama Theatre held a memorial day dedicated to the 70thanniversary of the outstanding actor, People’s Artist Aliabbas Gadriov.
The event, held at the Academic National Dramatic Theatre, was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, cultural and arts workers, as well as a wide audience that appreciates the work of Aliabbas Gadirov.
Speaking at the event, the chairman of Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan, artistic director and director of the National Academic Drama Theatre, People’s Artist of Azerbaijan, professor Azer Pasha Nematov spoke about Aliabbas Gadirov’s high skill and shared his memories of him.
Presenters - Maleyka Asadova, Lalazar Mustafayeva, Sabir Mamedov and Elshan Jabrailov told about the actor’s rich creative way.
A photo exhibition dedicated to the life and works of Aliabbas Gadirov was demonstrated at the event, fragments of artistic reading from his performances and films were presented and shown. There were songs performed by Matanat Iskandarli, Aygun Beyler and Ilgar Muradov.
Finally, on behalf of the family members, the son of the artist, Ilham Gadirov, thanked the organizers and participants of the event.
